Singapore Set To Host Massive UFC 275 Pay Per View Card On June 11

UFC fans in Asia have been waiting for over two years for the premier MMA organization to return to the Asian continent. The UFC is not disappointing its Asian fans as they are making a stopover in Singapore with a massive pay-per-view card.

UFC 275 is set to take place on June 11 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang and will feature two big UFC title fights and a stacked card featuring some big names. Our MMA experts look at the betting odds for both title fights and share their predictions.

Main Event – Teixeira vs. Procházka

UFC light-heavyweight champ Glover Teixeira will make his first title defense when he takes on the number one challenger in Czech superstar Jiří Procházka. Bet365 has the champ as the underdog in this fight with odds of 2.63, while the challenger Jiří is the favorite with odds of 1.53.

Jiří has been super impressive during his time in the UFC and has made a beeline to the title shot with just two fights in the Octagon. Those were impressive wins over Dominic Reyes and Volkan Oezdemir, who he stopped in the second round by KO. Jiří’s striking style and power are impressive, and he is likely to have the upper hand in the striking department.

However, we don’t agree with those betting odds as Jiří has never been tested on the ground in the UFC. The 42-year-old champ is a veteran and BJJ black belt specialist who will look to take Jiří to the mat and submit him. We believe Jiří is going to be the most dangerous in the first two rounds, but if Glover can push Jiří past two rounds, we believe Jiří’s cardio will be tested.

Jiří has not fought in any 5 round fights in the UFC, and this will be another area that the champ will want to test. We think if the fight gets past the third round, Glover will be the favorite to win. We will call this fight in favour of Glover and say that he will win by submission.

Co-Main Event – Shevchenko vs. Santos

UFC flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko has run through her division in impressive style and looks unstoppable. Standing in her way at UFC 275 is the impressive Brazilian Talia Santos. Bet365 has the champ as the heavy betting favorite with odds of 1.13, while the Santos is the underdog with odds of 6.5

Santos is ranked 4 in the flyweight division and has earned a title shot as Valentina has beat all the others ahead of Santos. While Santos has looked good in the Octagon, she will face a completely different challenge when she takes on Valentina.

Santos has a few advantages going into this fight. She is 28 years old, younger than the champ, taller than the champ and has a better reach. Will she be able to use this to her advantage, or will the pressure of facing one of the greatest female MMA fighters in the world overwhelm her and cause her to be another stat on Valentina’s impressive resume?

It’s hard to bet against Valentina as she has a well-rounded game. If the fight turns into a striking battle, we believe Valentina is the more technical striker and will win on the feet. Santos’s best chance is to get the champ on the ground and look to submit her, but that is not going to be an easy challenge as Valentina has shown in the past that her ground game is solid, and she is not afraid of pitting her wrestling skills against anyone!

We expect this fight to go the distance and for Valentina to retain her championship and win by decision.

Zhang vs. Jędrzejczyk 2

While the two title fights are definitely huge draws for UFC 275, MMA fans will be very eager to see the two former strawweight champs battle in the Octagon. The first time Weili Zhang and Joanna Jędrzejczyk crashed was back in 2020, and it turned out to be one of the greatest fights in MMA history and was rightly awarded the Fight of the Year award.

These two warriors will grace the Octagon once again, but it will be a three-round fight this time. Zhang goes in as the favorite with odds of 1.57, while Joanna is the underdog with odds of 2.5. We expect this fight to play out on the feet and go to a decision that is too close to call and might be a split decision.

Other Exciting Fights

UFC 275 is a stacked card as there are several exciting fights in the early prelims and the prelims. Some of the fights you need to watch out for include Brendan Allen vs. Jacob Malkoun and Andre Fialho vs. Jake Matthews.
